The DIY movement and ear stretching.

I have become a huge fan of the DIY movement that has been working it’s way to become more mainstream. Or..it could just be me since I’ve been seeking out art projects to add to my ever growing list.
I love the idea of taking old things and making them new; since I like to be hands on, it keeps me physically and mentally occupied.
There are some great websites that have showed up like cut out and keep, or instructables not to mention tons of diy youtube videos and blogs with lots of projects that you can make yourself from old clothing, or yarn or whatever you have on hand. With DIY projects, your mind is really the limit. You end up with a unique project that costs nothing or little to make.
I plan on hitting up value village for fabrics and jewelery and random stuff to make into new clothes or trinkets. I’m excited about it. Recycling is pretty awesome if you ask me.

I’ve also decided to stretch my ears bigger, I’m a little nervous but pretty excited at the same time. I know it could effect my job outlook but..I just really want to do it. I’ve felt like doing a lot of body modification recently. I’m going to get foot tattoos at the end of September or so, I want to pierce my septum soon and of course ear stretching.
I’m also going to post a video on my youtube account showing the stretching process. But I’m starting at 1/2” and going to 9/16”.

The plug on the right is the 1/2” that I’m wearing now, and the two on the left are both new 9/16” pieces.
